The Bubbler enhances furnace efficiency by creating controlled gas bubbles that improve heat transfer, glass circulation, and melt homogenization. Gases are blown through special nozzles at the furnace bottom, lifting cooler glass upward to absorb heat and reducing the need for high crown temperatures. The rising and bursting bubbles form a barrier that prevents unmelted batch from advancing, improving the melt clarity and reducing foam.
This improved flow pattern decreases fuel consumption, increases production capacity, and enhances product quality by minimizing cords and defects. The system is especially beneficial for colored glass, significantly reducing stone inclusions and product loss.
